Trip to London for Dinner and a Museum

Went to London today to have dinner with one of Sarah's friends - had Spicy Sausage Penne - it was nice.

Also, went to see the exhibit she was a curator for at the National Army Museum:

Was on the Korean war ("The Cold War's Hot War"). Was very interesting, with a range of exhibits including 1960's communist propaganda 'friendship' toothpaste.

Still getting ready for move. Lots of trips to tip, and trying to see as many people as we can before we head off.

Sarah's Graduation

Congratulations today to Sarah on her graduation from her PhD today. It was really lucky we managed to attend this - and I'm very proud of her!

First we pottered around Downing, with Sarah all Gown'd up. We also had a lovely meal in college, with perhaps alittle more alcohol than I am used to at 1pm.

More pictures before the ceremony with all the other graduates.

Sarah's boss also came for the ceremony.

We also had a photo of us taken, unfortunately by a giant, making us look smaller than we really are.

Visa arrived: Wohoo

Today, my visa to travel to America arrived! This is really great news, and both Sarah and me are very excited.... Below is a picture of me posing with my newly returned passport in celebration!

We plan to fly in early April, just after Easter. We've got our tickets sorted out now, and the packing people are all ready to go. Sarah managed to organize our customs forms too today (which are nearly as complicated as the Embassy paperwork). We are getting better at paperwork, I feel.....
